Heart Broken

Why do I fall for the same trap again and again?
Why do I allow myself to feel so much pain?
Sometimes I want to cry so bad, why am I so strong?
Cause I've held on to these tears for too long

How could I give someone my heart just for them to break?
Not once, not twice this is my typical mistake
So much cruelty for someone so kind
Time to love myself instead, I know I'll never break this heart of mine

I'll take this as another lesson, as my life is a book
I'll flip the page and begin a new chapter
Maybe you'll someday realize the love you seemed to overlook
By than I'll be happy with someone and I hope you'll also find your happily ever after
