Thank You Mama

Up and down she cried,
Looking for somebody to buy,
Her old wrapper to be sold,
To put on your table a little
bread of gold;
Mama did it for you and I,
Is it the best way to wipe
the tears off her eyes?
We'll pour out our blood if
it'll satisfy her,
We'll buy costly ornaments to
glorify her.
