Glorify

Let this poem glorify thy name,

I'm done with the shame and this pain!
How is it, Father that we live comfortably in chains,
When you have come, to take the reigns?

Why does Romans 8 say that the life giving Spirit has set you free but our freedom feels quite unlike thee.
Is this because of our unbelief or is it just that rotten old thief?

The same one who comes to kill steal and destroy in his ploy to turn creation away from their creator.
But I know my God is greater!
And to have a little faith will concur that danger.

So this my Lord is unto thee
To give glory to the One who has set us free.

So let this poem bring You glory
While telling us the story
Of the One with infinite worth
Birthed through a Virgin
Died and rose again is certain

And now let me close the curtain.
