Comatose

Slipping into your consciousness,
I sink into the depths of your soul.
Your escape is my comfort.
I feel temporarily healed.

In the confines of my soul is a never ending well.
A well of sadness.
A watery chasm waiting for a season of redemption.

I lie awake at night.
I fight myself and try to settle my debts with destiny.
My soul screams a silent perpetual scream.
