A Letter I Will Never Send

‎You came into my life like quiet light,
‎not to stay, but to show me how deeply I can feel.
‎I never asked for this heartache,
‎and yet, I wouldn’t undo it.

‎When I see you, something inside me softens.
‎You remind me that kindness still exists,
‎that care can be given without taking.
‎You made me feel safe, seen, and alive.

‎And though I will never be yours,
‎a part of me will always be grateful
‎for the way your presence slowed time,
‎for the warmth that will echo long after you’ve gone.

‎I’ll carry you gently,
‎not as a wound,
‎but as a quiet proof
‎that love can exist, even unreturned.
