Tears On The Road To Nairobi

The pen left in hurry
And the brain waved at noon
At the hour the country home
Rig and kill for power and self

When ears await
The talking drum of Pius To hit the nail
Alas!!! The hand is at half mast
On the road to Nairobi

Tears drop from thousand tongue
The heart bittered
All hail and wail
All wish not

But Pius is gone
To the home of all
Rest well Prof
You have played your part

Now sit not on the fence
Like many onlooker brain
But among eminent
Where Achebe sits
