Eyes On The Watch

Long are days
We used to sleep
With all eyes closed
Without a watch

How dare you now!
Yet with battalions of watch
Eyes opened
All housed in fear

Just a knock on the door
Every one is shattered
Men are groaning
Women are mourning

Children are whimpering
The Rich are bereft
The Poor are in Grief
Who are they?

The Gentle men of the Highway
Salute!!!
Who can dare them?
The untouchable boss

Where is the General?
Oga is asleep at the villa
Or on the board as usual
Like a tour guard

We are
Helpless, hopeless and homeless
Now we live in grip of fear
As we watch for ourselves.
