Hired In Winter, Fired In Summer
Frozen in winter, melt in summer
She was the best one he knew
She held a crown in his heart for so long ago
Under his covers, she was warm and safe
Her wings broken into his hands, she felt home in his arms
She loved him like no one else was in the world to love
In the end she left with no one else except him, her lover
He loved her too
And his one and only wish, was to die with her
But all were lies and nothing was true
The truth was that, he loved her in good times and covered her in the cold
But he didn't plan for cooling her fever in the hot
All her bliss faded away at her last sight
Love left her, no love for a blind "he said
Everything slipped through her fingers
And her world crushed down
She was cold even if it was summer time
With her walking stick, in her glasses
She said, I've been loved but now I'm retired.
