Roses In The Dark

Do I know thee?
I behold a gentle angel
like a fragile rose flower
Growing in mild breeze.

Those words* crushed me
I was so bruised
My heart melted like ice cream with sun
With the drips like vinegar tastes.

Do I know thee?
Always seen a cherub in you
A sincere heart with love
Sent to me by the Holy One.

The words* barked at me
Scared like motherless chick
Blood like seasonal stream drying up
It’s ugly dirty bed behind stares blindly.

Now I know thee!
Daughter of silence
I perceive your poisonous sack overflowing Venom of a thousand royal vipers.

Breath so scaring now seems,
Lest I get deadly stings from angel
Or darts all in fatality spelt.
Countdown to love’s demise!

No rage burns in heaven
Like love to hate turned.
My heart though so strong
Like Titanic sinks.

O come gentle Death.
Though a villain during life’s ecstasy,
Rose of my life I hail thee now.
Come Death; swing my way gentle white rose.
