Nina

Nina, I’m truly sorry that your beloved mother died.
I heard the sad news from a close friend of your mother.

Why didn’t you try to contact me and tell me about it?
Did you expect me to show up when you didn’t call me?

I was deeply pained, for you didn’t seek my sympathy.
And I could only imagine the intense sorrow that you felt.

Nina, you must’ve needed someone to comfort you.
Were you ashamed to talk to me because of what you did?

I wanted us to mourn the loss of your mom together.
And I really wanted to embrace you in your time of grief.

If you had invited me, I would’ve attended the funeral.
Nina, I didn’t want you to go through that ordeal alone.

You were still angry with me even when your mom died.
Why did a good relationship turn out so badly for us, Nina?
