I Won't Let You In

You didn’t value my love when you had me
Though I loved you the best way I could,
You went away with someone else
Now you call me on the phone
I’m surprised that you remember my number
You say you want to come home,
But I’m afraid I can’t take you back
I know that you’ll keep trying to persuade me
You’re lingering outside in the biting wind,
But I won’t let you in the house
I can’t bear the pain of seeing you go again
Darling, you hurt me deeply once
And I won’t let you do it again
I see you pacing in the driveway
And as much as I feel sorry for you,
I’ve made my decision, I won’t let you in
