I'll Return To You
I’ll leave tomorrow to a distant place.
You’ll miss me when I go away.
In three years, I’ll return to you.
I want you to wait for me,
But I know it’s too much to ask.
Your poor heart will ache for me,
But the sky will still be blue,
And the faithful sun will still shine.
I’ll think of you as time goes by.
The fire will keep burning.
I promise you that I’ll return to you.
Please don’t give up on me.
I’ll see you when I come back.
We’ll smile at each other again.
Darling, I’ll return to you,
And I’ll stay with you for a long time.
