For Suki

Now the ageless moon is hovering over Fujiyoshida.
I’m sitting here alone in the cold wind,
Reminiscing about the songs that Suki wrote.
Way up in the dark sky I see distant stars.
I wonder whom Suki is thinking of tonight.
She used to play her guitar and sing love songs for me,
But her melodious voice I no longer hear.

I’ve spent sleepless nights longing for my Suki.
She’s gone away, far away from Japan.
What can I say to make her come back home?
I fell in love with Suki at the foot of Mount Fuji.
Now life without her is so dull and lonely.
How I miss the happy moments of yesteryear.
The memories of Suki will forever remain in my heart.
