Depressed

please tell somebody today
that am not ashamed to say
that am struggling
am not ashamed to say that am unable to focus
and am making decisions unlike myself
am not ashamed to say
both my body and spirit are aching
from the constant worry and stress
I am not ashamed to say that am afraid
that my dreams and happiness are at risk
and my mind bends reality in search
of inevitable and inescapable disaster
am not ashamed to say
that I have lost my way
and am desperate to find it again
today am not ashamed to say
am depressed and I need help
