Empowered Echo

From the shadowed silence where she used to reside,
She's a listener, akin to a cloth where judgments slide.
Quiet and agreeable are roles she would often wear,
But beneath her calm exterior, she now harbored a flare.

Words belittled her like a whispers in the dark,
Yet she would apologize and she would play her part.
A canvas was unseen and a voice was unheard,
With the echoes of silence, now her strength deferred.

But a storm has awakened in a tempest within,
There is no longer silenced by the world whims.
Finally! she speaks the truth so their colors exposed,
Yet this maestro of deceit, see her as selfish, tale is juxtaposed.

She unravels their narratives and exposes the deceit,
Yet they point fingers and lay blame at her feet.
The fact that she's not selfish, she's now finally free,
From the chains of their misconstrued reality.

She doesn't carry anger and not even weighed down,
In the sea of indifference where she found her own crown.
Not bothered, not mad, just done with the game,
The misconceptions against her which she won't reclaim.

For she learned to value the strength in her voice,
To speak the whole truth is now her choice.
Now in the dance of perceptions where she stands alone,
A woman is reborn with a strength of her own!

No more the surface for their judgments to portray,
As she now welcomed the truth and set her restraint at bay.
Not a selfish act but just self-preserving, as you can see,
With her principle of the truth, she is finally free.

Poet's note: This poem is dedicated to whoever you are—those who expected my silence and agreement despite knowing their actions were unjust. It reflects my newfound strength to break free from that silence, unveiling the truth that had long been concealed. It stands as a declaration that I will no longer be complicit in tolerating injustice, but rather, I will use my voice to confront and stand against it. May these words serve as a reminder that enlightenment should accompany wrongdoings, with a call to embrace accountability and reject prideful blame. May this journey toward understanding be marked by genuine change and the humility that accompanies true redemption.
