The Waking Hour
It ticks and tocks,
As it passes me by.
A single click,a million shots
Of thoughts that get me high.
I've been hurting,
But everyone is.
I've been searching...
No way to explain this.
It is about time,
I finally got off the ground.
It won't cost me a dime,
To finally turn my life around.
From countless seconds
Of a life almost wasted,
To soundless movements,
Towards a destiny long awaited.
It will take some courage.
It will wake some headaches,
But I am more than prepared,
To see the worth of it in the end.
