Glaring Shadow

Tomorrow's a new day,
Yesterday's kept at bay.
That's me wishing,
And that's me thinking.

I can't seem to run,
Can't seem to hide,
With all I've been giving,
And all I've been leaving.

Still it stares,
Still it chases.
Nobody cares,
With all these cases.

From the wall it peeks,
On the ground it walks.
I am afraid it speaks,
I might need to change the locks.
