Work To Do

The later I wake up, the closer I get to my bed

Hours lost in sleep, minutes lessened in life

Lost hours are minute compared to achievements in minutes

Whereas a single minute of second delay brings to a halt all that hath achieved

When the hours are long gone and the day’s at break
Haste is made to get hay

Time to pull up the socks before the clock chimes eight

All the work in a day to be completed in the remaining hours to end

Single handedly how much can be done in a day wherein the creation of the world took a week.
