Living Apart

Over your dead body, you swore
Never to come back
Endless war
Between her and you
Who shall bind you?

Your sons are wailing
The love of a mother
For how long should you live apart?

We heard some rumors
That your marriage a wound
That khew not a charm
Shall we come to your peace
Shall we call for a reunion

The elders in shock
The tradition no value
The initial agreement
Seems useless

Shall any curse follow you
It is your wish
Our African traditions
Respect be given
