I Saw Them Fall

Today is the day
When I saw them mourn
From dawn to noon,
They wailed and griefed
The departure of the great hero

The great leaders we hoped for
I see them falling , like leaves
They cover the ground
The ground is glooming
For the weight of blood

There is fear
For whom to follow
The journey is long
But the flow continues
From Small to great
All are following

The speeches of comfort,
Praises and wishes
We hear them loud
From those at peace,
Who live before their noon
Lest do they realize, that time is short.
