Where The Souls Go
There are men and women alike
Who speak about life after death
Telling the scriptural portrayal of heaven and hell
Two opposing pictures of where men shall ever dwell
There's somewhere the souls go
After the certain and eerie attack
That draws the breath from the center
The prophets of God had warned of the disaster
Then, there’s somewhere the souls go
After the body's reunification with the soil
And past the solemnity of the graveyard
Where kind hopes and promises are murdered
Every case shall be brought again on the day
The resurrection day and the proofs shall be sufficient
Angels have written by themselves the scrolls
God will be the judge, the Creator of the souls
The air will be silent but eyes will be open
The limbs will speak and witness only truth
Of the righteousness of souls before passing the throat
Punishment is for the accused and Paradise for the devout
For all that merriment and adorned mischief
Vacancy and carelessness smeared with ease
There are only a few who turn away in fear
Knowing the tests and hating to despair
A purpose, there is, for the greenness of grass
Then surely one too exists for this passing life
To know and worship God how He commanded
So we'd return to that paradise we had once tasted
There are men and women alike
Who speak about life after death
Telling the scriptural portrayal of heaven and hell
Two opposing pictures of where men shall ever dwell
