Mentor

To Saint Jude
The mentor
Hard on the scholar
Makes him a wordsmith
Teaching him to perfect his lines
To take his thoughts
To logicality;

Like a child sit I
To drink at his feet
To drink
From his well of inestimable value
Bursting forth
From the wisdom of the sages of yore;

The guiding star he is
That points the sojourner
The way and like the Muse
Inspires creativity
In the neophyte that craves
For wisdom and for sense
In a senseless world.
