Love From A Stranger Ii

For Oge
I'd have loved
The journey to be
An unending continuum
As we share
A companionship
Providence wrought
Maybe
As a friend
As a lover
As a daughter
A play mate;

We'd spend
The times
The hours
The minutes
The seconds
Sharing our lives
Sharing ideas
Talking about nothing
And everything...

But no!
Soon the journey'd be over
And we'd go our separate ways
Never to see again
For everyday we make good friends
And lose them the next
Cos life goes on
And on, and round and round.

Poet's note: The poem is a continuation of the poem of same title. As our journey drew to a close I began to think that we'd soon part and forget each other. We meet new people everyday and part later in spite of the fact that we had a good relationship. Bob Marley said, "Good friends we had and good friends we lost along the way." This is true of life.
