Friend, clear
And bright eyes
Innocent face
Smooth skin
Rich hair
Beautiful nose
Like the mother's
Good lips
Fine ears
Golden voice
She is
But four years old!

Poet's note: My friend in a different state has a little daughter whom she, the mother calls my girlfriend. We've never met but I talk with mother heartily as if we're family. The poem is a little ode written for her to express my affection.
