Corruption

We all talk against it
Make wonderful speeches
On the necessity to break
Its yoke and stranglehold

Daily we talk
Of recovered loots
And daily the recovered loots
Are relooted by no other

Than those who recovered them
And we set kangaroo panels
Upon panels and committees
Upon committees to recover

The recovered loots
And the vicious cycle goes
On and on while the nation
Slides further and further

Down the slope into the abyss
Of poverty and the masses
Groan under the weight
Of a bogus leadership that eats

And grows fat as the mass
Of the people shrink with starvation;
We talk
We decry

We probe
But corruption thrives
And fights back
Cos we fight invisible corruption,

We never fight the corrupt;
Instead the corrupt fight
Corruption with kid gloves
And make it resistant.
