It dropped so low-in my Regard-
I heard it hit the Ground-
And go to pieces on the Stones
At bottom of my Mind-

Yet blamed the Fate that flung it-less
Than I denounced Myself,
For entertaining Plated Wares
Upon my Silver Shelf-
