Orchard Christmas
Cloudy skies and starless night
Gloom shrouds all the world around
Thousands dead or dying now
Millions afflicted even so
The pandemic rages on!
Christmas at Orchard road’s bright
Locals and tourists are found
Walking around with raised brow
Families and friends in tow
Ogle at the lights in town.
Festive mood’s in the air right
‘Midst the crowds and traffic sound
As only they would know how
Moving to and fro so slow
Trying to not feel so down.
Christmas’ lights so very bright
Come make our lives more profound
May God bless us and allow
A pandemic cooling blow
Pray squash the virus burden!
With the power of Your Light!
