Christmas Poem

Christmas is a time of cheer
Good tydings brings a message clear

The 25th of December
Is a day we must remember

A time when we anticipate
The reason why we celebrate

All the mistakes we made on earth
Are redeemed by his birth

Because of sin our lives are torn
But unto us a child is born

This dear friends is exactly why
He was sent so he could die

Wonderful Counsellor, Prince of Peace
Brought to life with only the least

Our precious King born in a manger
For you and me and every stranger

A God who took the form of man
For our transgressions He came to stand

Helping the lost to find their way
His presence reigns to this day

If you and I would only trust
Emmanuel, the God with us.
