Raging Love

You spoke to me
With words of sulphur
And looked with rage
Into my anxious eyes.
My ears still still flame with
The wrath of your words.
My mind still echoes with your
Groans, moans and sighs.

You set me ablaze
And left me aflame.
You light a fire that will for ages
Swallow me up and down.
I fell in a hell fire of your lies
That consumes and devours me
Without end.
It never seems to stop
No matter how I violently fight
To break free.

The kisses you planted
On my cheeks
Are now the powerful chords
That bind me and force me
To bend in your direction.
Am thirsty for freedom,
Am hungry to break free
From these chains of one-sided
Monstrous love that
Bend my innocent soul to love
Your frozen cold heart.....

I want to break free
From your furious raging love
That torments me rather than
Comforts me.

Poet's note: I was madly in love with someone who was madly in love with someone else. I was a slave to my emotions. She made me fall in a pit of love and left me confused and heart broken. I wanted to break free from this toxic relationship... But my love for her was still holding me captive..... I have never loved again like I loved her....Her powerful chords still bind me and make me skeptical when it comes to trust anyone who says they love me.
