Lay Your Bed
Its an old quote my aunty used to tell me
Anytime I swing the crocodile's tail
Anytime I spin the hammer and nail
As you lay your bed, so you lay
It never drowned to the root of my mind
'Til I read it on a gravestone
On my way to Damascus to claim my throne
As your bed is laid, so you rest in peace
I have lizards in my bed
My bed of roses, my bed of reptiles
I've n'er seen it with the left eye
Its true, there is no peace in a bed with reptiles
The same quote I tell my brethren
Anytime they smoosh the snake skin
I hope you'll see it on a gravestone
You'll lay, as you lay your bed
