Soul's Romance

Soul's romance
I unearthed a secret recently
My soul romances death clandestinely
Death creeps stealthily from a window
Opened for her by my soul , you know
Afraid that my soul will fly away with death
And I'll be left with failing breath
Death whispers to soul when its dark
Alluring my poor soul with her to embark
With half asleep I can hear them talk
Soul hesitating a bit to join the walk
At the threshold the death stands
And finally my soul stretched out his hands
Together they flew to a distant land
While I lay alone buried in sand
