The Mirror Effect

In a moment of truce with myself,
In the ultimate pledge of my preordain,
I found a key in my shelf,
The one to unlock the chain.

Tied my wrists at the window bars,
For years watching the morning sun.
Helpless at night with the glowing stars,
I'd learn the changing shapes of the moon.

It's a sign of fear, I've been terrified,
Couldn't face it, got attached to the terror.
Now I have the key to have it mastered,
I saw this by looking in a mirror.
