Same Day Different Times

On that rainy day the lep crawled,
for days it's been sessile.
How splendours is the world,
and you can barely move a mile?
It watched others feel the gods' smile,
fly on sunny days.
It wanted more, needed better,
to feel like it belongs.

One sunny day it felt the warmth of the air,
it's skin was glowing.
Attached to it was a pair,
glorious wings growing.
"I can fly," It felt sun's rays closer,
the sky was beautiful.
It learned as it grew older,
it was a beautiful butterfly.
