Happy Birthday!

Sharp air in my fragile nostrils, I'd smell freedom,
My closed eyes could hardly see the light.
Can't tell how big was the ransom,
But I recall the sensational bliss it brought.

Surrounded by the blue rescue team,
I'd feel warm hands around my delicate skin.
Held for months in the sanctioned home,
But my health was flawlessly green.

Feeling the foreign air in my lungs I gave out a holler,
When I heard a gratifying soft feminine chortle .
And my lips felt a tender tip of a hooter,
That day I knew the 9 months were absolutely legal.

And now I'm twice the one who had me caged,
The one who molded me into a whole being.
To love her beyond death I'd have me avenged,
' Cause this day, were it not for her I wouldn't be living.

Now I look at the heavens and pray,
For my family,my friends and friends to be---
To live euphorically and see more like this day,
And sing happily," Happy birthday to Me!"
