Almost Done

A thousand miles didn't start with a step
but a mastered thought.

Created and planned,
then carefully implemented.

But none of that mattered
when the last step was taken
And all the eyes blicken.

Singing and praising voices,
some sentimental and genuine.

Others were noises to the ears,
full of pain and vain.

Glances from corner to corner,
loves and hugs all in order.

With no clue of any single mile,
some of them could still smile.

The warmth was wild and always will be,
with the so called fate sealed,
I need not a plea.

And as people chant as birds and laugh as lads,
it gets easier to learn lessons,
read minds and understand humans.

Poet's note: This poem is about how hard a person strives alone through hurdles and setbacks in life but upon their success everyone is suddenly a friend and a family. The poem depicts the feeling of hypocrisy among other people who after all do not appreciate what you achieve as they enjoyed while you struggled alone. It's written for anyone who comes across this state and shows that, what's important is not who celebrates or commends your success but how you personally feels about it.
