She's There

She sits right there, head hangs low
And she needs a start
She looks everywhere, and feels the urge to know
What belongs to her heart.
She’s stuck in the darkness
She’s like a lonely sentinel in a silvery blue sky
It’s not misery, but you can hear her saying,
I’m gonna make it out of here tonight.
It’s not like she’s sorrowful, neither is she mad
She’s just necessarily empty
After losing everything she had.
As tears threaten her eyes
Not knowing what to do,
Although she remembers those lies
She’s still there for you.
