Gilded Poison
Beauty flows like a scorching river,
Marred by blots and spots, by dark and light,
Yet pulsing with the flicker of a star.
They walk a path where shadows dwell,
Shining like gold, though rot eats the core;
A display of grace to mask the bitter well.
With every curve of their hollow frames,
They lead the blind down ruined ways.

Poet's note: Summary Sentence
The poem serves as a reminder that the most dangerous traps are the ones wrapped in silk and gold. It encourages the reader to value "internal light" over "external shine."
