I'm Black

I’m Black, I’m Proud, and I’m an African
Being born black wasn’t a choice, that which am happy
I would have love being black even if it was a choice
I hail from Africa, a continent of peace and unity
Not a continent of discrimination and superiority.
I’m not embraced but stigmatized
Am brutalized and condemned;
But my color signifies modesty, which is a threat to the white
I’m hurt but that doesn’t stop the pen from bleeding
I’m Black, I’m Proud, and I’m an African !
