Lebrinah

Noaharry

In the golden glow of the setting sun,
I find inspiration to pen another verse,
For a melodious name, sweetly spun,
To capture moments, for better or worse.

Mom gave you a name, sturdy and grand,
But I, bestowed a nickname, a cherished brand,
Binu, a moniker I know so well, a name glass,
A gentle reminder of the days you'd call me Das,
From dolls to teletubbies, to a magical Cinderella,
Rapunzel's 'tangle', to Barbie's allure,
And yes, the captivating world of telenovela,
Let's embark on memories, both tender and pure.

I recall the little you, oh so clear,
In my arms, I'd soothe away your fear,
And in your eyes, I'd see a guiding light,
When your tiny hand held my finger so tight,
Time for a lullaby, and so I'd sing,
Just to see you quiet, a symbol of comfort in spring,
And so was your sleep, my sister, how serene you were.

Now you are grown, almost a mirror of mom,
Claiming my playlist, from rocks to blues,
For a moment, Brooke Hogan was your calm,
But in that moment, I forgot our cherished hues,
As I gaze ahead, the weight of my heart grows,
For the distance that one day, may be our woes,
When love finds you and you'll have to go,
I'll miss the days when you were my little Binu,
But then I recall your birthday and forget the worries,
So when sadness finds you, and tears start to flow,
I'll stand by you, through the stumble and fall,
Remember, I'd carry the weight of it all.

So here's to my dearest Lebrinah, little Binu,
In every sunlight and twilight hue,
Know that my heart swells, with pride for you.
