Alot Of Fews

Noaharry

Now these are a few thoughts,
That I am in love with,
Some of the musings I hold dear,
In the embrace of love that's clear.

A dainty cup filled with coffee's charm,
In a tranquil Saturday's evening balm,
Whispers of country music afar,
Counting raindrops on the window's spar,
As she slumbers by my side on the couch's arm.

My mind wanders to a cherished scene,
A son's voice, with words serene,
"Thank you, Dad, for giving me the best mom."
A daughter's note, a heartfelt psalm,
"It's Mom's birthday, don't let it slip,
I'll craft surprises, you take her for a trip,
Return at 7, let's make her beam."
A wife's gentle reminder, a loving theme,
"It's time for prayers, the kids need their dreams."

A gentle knock upon a familiar door,
Encountering my father, seated, and more,
His words carry memories, bittersweet,
"A part of me departed, when your mom took her seat,
But you and your sisters reignite the flame."
And he imparts wisdom, in God's name,
Oh, I am the son of a devout soul's reign.

The letters of time have gently faded,
No more lessons, nor roads to be paraded.
Friends, sisters, brothers, all adorned,
With the treasures they've endlessly adorned.
As we gracefully age, our skin may shrink,
Yet old tales and laughter link,
"Remember when we used to..." they say,
Adding to our twilight, a few more days.
