Standing alone
Clogs in my ears trying hard not to hear
In my bed, eyes too closed to see a freak
hormones put to sleep to abhor malodous taste
Yet I feel, I hear, I see
A berserk worker
Smashing my windows
So amuck without control,
My body drowns in the abyss
This is not a bizarre but the norm
He calls on my line
How I wish to decline,
the ogre
but only have to succumb
He comes again,
Chanting hymns with my name
My nervous feels sensual
He kills my cells, breaks down my systems
Now he stands so high
in my temple he reigns
Not my fault, folks not my fault
Who am I to stand at an eminent peak when addiction calls?
