Intertwined

King Davey

Two lives,
Stemmed from the same root,
Branch out in two different directions.
In a race to catch the light that lights all that live.
These two must stretch out their leaves
to catch every ray of opportunity grinning at them.

Two lives,
independent of each other,
But sourced from the same root.
Would they live forever apart?
Or the winds whisper a kind roar
That they may embrace each other?
