Black Girl

Kiende-nturibi

They all turn and stare
She starts to scare
Her head down
Her bag tightly clutched
Hands are sweaty
Her armpits grow itchy
Her head is burning
Everything is in blurs
Why are they staring and giggling
Did I have to be so different
Will I ever get a compliment?
Why did they have to get me a all white school
I have to face it
With courage
I'll become a faucet of racial discrimination
An upright face
A sigh
The beggining of a better me
