We Miss A Kinsman More

Emily Dickinson

1087

We miss a Kinsman more
When warranted to see
Than when withheld of Oceans
From possibility

A Furlong than a League
Inflicts a pricklier pain,
Till We, who smiled at Pyrenees-
Of Parishes, complain.
