The Drop, That Wrestles In The Sea

Emily Dickinson

284

The Drop, that wrestles in the Sea-
Forgets her own locality-
As I-toward Thee-

She knows herself an incense small-
Yet small-she sighs-if All-is All-
How larger-be?

The Ocean-smiles-at her Conceit-
But she, forgetting Amphitrite-
Pleads-”Me”?
