Lightly Stepped A Yellow Star

Emily Dickinson

1672

Lightly stepped a yellow star
To its lofty place-
Loosed the Moon her silver hat
From her lustral Face-
All of Evening softly lit
As an Astral Hall-
Father, I observed to Heaven,
You are punctual.
