Fairer Through Fadingas The Day

Emily Dickinson

938

Fairer through Fading-as the Day
Into the Darkness dips away-

Rallies Her Glow, like a dying Friend-
Teasing with glittering Amend-
Only to aggravate the Dark
Through an expiring-perfect-look-
