Edem Kojo Obedie

Once in my nocturnal dream,
I strolled along a quiet stream.
There I beheld the cat and the mouse,
In a warm embrace.

In utmost amazement, I went my way.
A few miles away,
A nuptial procession approached,
With wolf and sheep in bridal apparel.

Homeward I ran to tell the tale.
There on a nearby pasture,
Was a lion grazing with the cattle,
In high spirits.

But in my compound
Were two men in a squabble.
If the lion eats grass,
Man, why bite your neighbor?
