Lord Byron's epic poem "The Giaour" is the tale of three separate narrators describing the same series of events from the perspectives of the giaour, a concubine Leila and an Ottoman narrator. Within the tale, the Ottoman narrator condemns the giaour to becoming a vampire after he murders Hassan.
