Maja Heršak was born in 1980 in Zagreb. She completed the Academy of Flower Art Design of Marco Mazza ( Accademia d'arte floreale di Marco Mazza ) in Brescia and Hebrew langage at the Biblical Institute in Zagreb. She works in Zagreb running her own Florist's shop. She reveals her passion for writing in the Elementary School Librarian's Club where her first verses see the light. In the secondary school her professor of Croatian Language recognizes her talent and appoints her an editor of school newspaper »Izidor«. So far she has published a fairytale story for children »A Child of Happiness (Dijete sreće), a poesy collection »Scars (Ožiljci)« awarded for best book of season 2017/2018 of poets society »Culture of Dreams (Kultura snova), a poesy collection »33« and a freshly published poesy collection »Stay close (Ostani blizu)«. She has received several awards writing also lyrics for bands.
